It’s been a huge year for Texas Senator Ted Cruz, and a new poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports shows that Americans definitely agree. In a poll asking citizens who they considered the most influential person in 2013, Cruz ranked 3rd. Recent “Person of the Year” Pope Francis was 1st in the rankings, followed by President Obama.

The poll surveyed 1000 adults in the U.S. on December 11th and 12th. Who do you think was the most influential person this year? Was Cruz’s ranking well-earned?
