Ronald Reagan’s First Christmas Address To The Nation; Just What The Country Needed

President Ronald Reagan’s first Christmas address was delivered to the nation from the Oval Office, via nationwide radio and television, on December 23, 1981.

As you can see and/or read below, the inspirational Reagan was not afraid to proclaim the birth of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, as the reason for the season.

Additionally, as the communist Soviet Union, the “evil empire” (what Reagan called the USSR to the aghast of the Democrats who thought he was “provoking” them — sound familiar?) flexed its muscle, Reagan had no problem calling them out. In fact, he would go on to defeat the communist regime without firing a shot.

This is how a real president leads, both the greatest country on earth, as well as sending a message to the rest of the world while honoring American faith and traditions.
