Al Gore Claims Climate Change is Making People Dumber

First, United Nations officials label bacon and deli meats as carcinogens, and now scientists are claiming that higher concentrations of carbon dioxide are not only heating the planet, they’re making people dumber. A new study by the Harvard School of Public Health claims “carbon dioxide (CO2) has a direct and negative impact on human cognition and decision-making,” according to ThinkProgress, a left-wing advocacy website. Former Vice President Al Gore wasted no time tweeting out ThinkProgress’ Read more […]

Catholic Bishops Call for a ‘Complete Decarbonisation’ of World Economy

Bishops launched a global appeal Monday for a break-through at upcoming Paris climate talks, including a “complete decarbonisation” of the world’s economy and more help for poor countries battling the effects of climate change. The bishops said any agreement “should limit global temperature increases to avoid catastrophic climatic impacts, especially on the most vulnerable communities”. From across five continents they called “not only for ‘drastic reduction in the emission of Read more […]

Antarctic Sea Ice Hit 35-Year Record High Saturday

Antarctic sea ice has grown to a record large extent for a second straight year, baffling scientists seeking to understand why this ice is expanding rather than shrinking in a warming world. On Saturday, the ice extent reached 19.51 million square kilometers, according to data posted on the National Snow and Ice Data Center Web site. That number bested record high levels set earlier this month and in 2012 (of 19.48 million square kilometers). Records date back to October 1978. The increasing Read more […]

Greenpeace Founder Says the Earth is Experience Extreme Cooling!

Scientists and activists warning of catastrophic man-made global warming should look at Earth’s long climate history, according to a co-founder of the environmental group Greenpeace. As it turns out, Earth is currently experiencing one of the coldest climates in its history. “A well-documented record of global temperature over the past 65 million years shows that we have been in a major cooling period since the Eocene Thermal Maximum 50 million years ago,” Dr. Patrick Moore said at a lecture Read more […]

Why You Should Avoid Islamic Halal Products

Yesterday, my son and I were driving home from a pumpkin festival and regatta in a nearby town. Regatta, you say? Yes, a regatta – where locals and folks from surrounding towns grow these huge 1,000 pound pumpkins, hollow them out, launch them into a river, climb into them, and race them. Only in America, baby! Anyway, on the way home, we passed a small convenience/grocery store. On the sign outside the store was an indication that they sold “halal meats.” My son noticed it and asked me what Read more […]

Nope, Science has Not Discovered a “Gay” Gene

This week, a team from the University of California, Los Angeles claimed to have found several epigenetic marks—chemical modifications of DNA that don’t change the underlying sequence—that are associated with homosexuality in men. Postdoc Tuck Ngun presented the results yesterday at the American Society of Human Genetics 2015 conference. Nature News were among the first to break the story based on a press release issued by the conference organisers.  Othersquickly followed suit. “Have They Read more […]

Scientists Ask Obama To Prosecute Global Warming Skeptics

The science on global warming is settled, so settled that 20 climate scientists are asking President Barack Obama to prosecute people who disagree with them on the science behind man-made global warming. Scientists from several universities and research centers even asked Obama to use the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) to prosecute groups that “have knowingly deceived the American people about the risks of climate change, as a means to forestall America’s response Read more […]

Yale History Professor: ‘Climate Change Deniers Are as Bad as Hitler’

If you don’t believe in climate change you’re as bad as Hitler. There. I’ve just precised a long article which appeared in the New York Times over the weekend with the title The Next Genocide. Rather worryingly it was the work not of some fruitcake environmental activist but of someone who really ought to know better – a professor of history, at Yale no less, called Timothy Snyder. It starts dramatically with an Einsatzgruppe commander lifting a Jewish child in the air and saying: Read more […]

Where’s Global Warming? Arctic Ice Caps Growing

Dire forecasts of a summertime, ice-free Arctic have been abundant, from Al Gore to the BBC to Sierra Club Canada. The reality? Big fail! Blogger Steven Goddard at Real Science is citing information from the National Snow and Ice Data Center in Boulder, Colorado, showing the Arctic ice mass, as of Sept. 7, is substantially bigger than it was in September 2012. “Nobel Prize winning climate experts and journalists tell us that the Arctic is ice-free, because they are propagandists pushing Read more […]

Summer Snow to Greet Obama on Alaska Climate Trip

When President Obama visits Alaska this week to campaign for a new international agreement to fight global warming climate change, Alaska will be experiencing colder than normal weather and forecast summer snows, as seen in this WeatherBell.com graphic of forecast total snowfall by Friday: Besides this latest example of the Gore Effect, the dirty little secret is that the climate is always changing, and what better place to illustrate the role of Mother Nature (not humans) than in Alaska? Extreme Read more […]

Another Global Warming Polar Expedition Delayed by Ice

Once again a ship trying to investigate global warming runs into thick ice that is not supposed to be there. Perhaps the most entertaining thing to happen in climate “science” happened in December 2013 when a ship sailed toward Antarctica so the crew could document the effects of global warming. Tad Cronn posted about what happened: It’s not exactly the wacky adventures of the passengers of the SS Minnow, but the team of New Zealand researchers on board the Akademik Shokalskiy, that got Read more […]
