Oh, No! Real Life “Minority Report” is Coming

Those of you who have seen the movie Minority Report (or read the original sci-fi short story) know how the concept of pre-crime is not only highly controversial and philosophically paradoxical, but also that it would virtually destroy whatever is left of our nation’s recognition of our Bill of Rights. If you’ve ever wondered how the police state creeps upon us so easily, here’s a front-row seat to observe how the process unfolds. For those outside the loop, the concept of pre-crime involves Read more […]

Donald Trump LOVES When the Government Steals Private Property

Donald Trump said something incredibly un-conservative earlier this week. During an interview with Bret Baier of Fox News, Trump spoke in glowing terms of the completely legal tactic the government uses to steal private property. The process, which is called “eminent domain” allows the government (and private companies who lobby the government) to confiscate privately owned land for the use of the community. Sadly, eminent domain is often misused by corrupt bureaucrats and the politicians that they’ve Read more […]

Trump says Bowe Bergdahl should have been Executed!

Presidential candidate Donald Trump has weighed in on deserter Bowe Bergdahl and has said he should be executed for his desertion. “We’re tired of Sgt. Bergdahl, who’s a traitor, a no-good traitor, who should have been executed,” Trump said at the casino-hotel Treasure Island. “Thirty years ago,” Trump added, “he would have been shot.” Indeed he would have been. In fact, at least one soldier’s orders were to “kill on contact” as they searched for Bergdahl. The comments came in the wake Read more […]

Obama Can’t Just Apologize for Committing War Crimes!

Journalist Glenn Greenwald slammed the president in a CNN interview Wednesday, for delivering a lame apology to the Doctors Without Borders organisation, following the US airstrike on their hospital in Afghanistan. “Doctors Without Borders, the organization that has run this hospital for five years, has made very clear that they’re not most interested in hearing apologies or claims of mistake or collateral damage,” Greenwald urged. “They want only one thing, and that is an independent, Read more […]

Hollywood Star James Woods Slams Obama for Ignoring Crimes Committed Against Christians

James Woods has always been one of my favorite actors and over the past couple of years, his outspokenness over the issue of several issues has also earned my respect. Following the Oregon shooting, Woods blasted the Obama administration and the media for not really pointing out that it was a crime that was aimed at the followers of Jesus Christ. After Chris Harper Mercer killed nine people and wounded seven last Thursday, reportedly singling out those who were Christians for execution, Woods Read more […]

Mass Shootings and Political Overreaction

Theatrical shootings aren’t the problem, hysterical reactions aren’t the solution. We’ve been here before. The worst massacre at an American school wasn’t at Columbine or Newtown, it wasn’t recent, and it didn’t involve an angry young misfit with a duffel bag full of guns. It happened in Bath, Mich., in 1927, when the local school-district treasurer, upset at having lost a township election and facing foreclosure on his house, murdered his wife and then bombed the school. Nearly 100 were Read more […]

Public opinion in the state is still marginally opposed to a more relaxed policy on pot, with 50 percent against full legalization. But even among those who weren’t in favor of Colorado-style medical and recreational policy, 57 percent supported Read more […]
