EARTH DAY: 13 Failed Predictions of Environmental Catastrophe

Today is Earth Day and–as expected–the celebration will focus primarily on the potential catastrophic dangers of global warming. But, fortunately, Jon Gabriel, the editor of the conservative website Ricochet has collected a long list of some of the dire warnings environmental disaster made by climate alarmists since Earth Day began in 1970, all of which turned out not to come to fruition:

1) “Civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind.” — Harvard biologist George Wald

2) “We are in an environmental crisis which threatens the survival of this nation, and of the world as a suitable place of human habitation.” — Washington University biologist Barry Commoner
