West Virginia Ends Union Rule – Chooses Right to Work

The West Virginia Senate passed a measure Thursday to outlaw mandatory union dues and fees as a condition of employment. The Senate approved the bill with a 17 to 16 vote before sending it to the House of Delegates. The measure was introduced Jan. 13 on the first day of the 60-day legislative session. The policy has been a Republican priority since the party secured the legislature in November 2014. It is more commonly known as right-to-work. “I believe this is a critical first step toward Read more […]

Major Union: Obama Shows ‘Disdain’ for Working Americans With Keystone Decision

One of the largest unions of construction workers slammed President Obama for his decision to reject the Keystone XL pipeline Friday, accusing the president of showing “utter disdain” for the American worker. Terry O’Sullivan, general president of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA), accused Obama of bending to special interest groups by choosing to decline TransCanada’s proposal to build the pipeline in pursuit of his climate change agenda. “President Obama Read more […]

Unions that Campaigned for a Higher Minimum Wage Now Want an Exemption

For much of the past eight months, labor activists have argued against special considerations for business owners, such as restaurateurs, who said they would have trouble complying with the mandated pay increase. So the entire campaign was a pretense. Now that the law is about to be enforced, we suddenly find out that labor leaders want unions carved out of the protections. But if the reason for a minimum wage law was to protect workers from low wages, then why should unions get permission to Read more […]

Labor Union Admits Union ‘Fight for $15′ Campaign Will Kill Jobs

A win for labor unions in their “Fight for $15″ campaign will mean some workers lose their jobs, a construction union said last week. International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 570 in Phoenix admitted “some people” will “lose their jobs” if the mandatory minimum wage is hiked to $15 an hour as union bosses demand.

Obama: Workers Don’t Need A Choice, They Need Unions!

President Obama used his State of the Union address to promote laws that would strengthen labor unions on Tuesday. While the National Labor Relations Board continues to issue decisions that greatly benefit unions, opponents have pushed on the federal and local level to challenge union power. “We still need laws that strengthen rather than weaken unions, and give American workers a voice,” the president declared. The president also discussed the importance of policies many unions have been Read more […]

Democrat Mayor Bans Yuengling – America’s Oldest Brewery – At Inaugural Party

Democrat Tom Wolf banned one of the shining examples of Pennsylvanian greatness at his inaugural party, Yuengling beer. The brewery fell out of the soon-to-be governor’s good graces for supporting right-to-work policies. The issue started two years ago. At the time, brewery president, Richard Yuengling Jr., now 74, became a target of unions for his support of right-to-work laws. They believe a worker should have the right to choice whether to join a union, while Wolf advocates for mandatory union Read more […]

Obama Calls ‘Worker’s Summit’ – Redirection and Redistribution

With the scandals raining down upon what is increasingly being exposed as the most corrupt administration in the history of the United States, B. Hussein Obama makes it a priority to press the issue of paid family leave. It’s one of the many subject-changing efforts in which he engaged at his White House Working Families Summit. Something can be learned from or reinforced by Obama’s pivot away from both our international morass as well as the never-ending stream of domestic scandals that Read more […]

How Have Republicans Become The Biggest Cheerleaders For Amnesty for Illegals?

“I’m going to say this and it will be on tape, and so be it. The way I look at this is someone who comes to our country because they couldn’t come legally, they come to our country because their family’s dad who loves their children was worried that their children didn’t have food on the table, and they wanted to make sure their family was intact. And they crossed the border because they had no other means to work to be able to provide for their family. Yes, they broke the law, but it’s Read more […]

Taxpayers Lose $10.5 Billion On General Motors Bailout

You know, this could have been a lot worse. So… up-twinkles, I guess. Only losing $10.5 billion on a payoff to special interests (in this case, labor unions) qualifies as a roaring success by current Washington standards. And, sadly, I don’t just mean Obama standards. Fox Business brings us the happy news that the “G” in GM no longer stands for “Government”: The Treasury Department on Monday announced that the government has sold its remaining shares of General Motors (GM) and Read more […]

Anti-Walmart “Protestors” Were Union Paid Rent-a-thugs

As we have seen so many times before, some unions are paying their protestors to show up and wave signs around. This was the case on Black Friday as Walmart protests were held all around the country. The union-backed group, ‘Our Walmart’ claimed that it had organized about 1500 protests at Walmarts around the country and that a total of 111 were arrested for civil disobedience related charges. The group has said that it’s campaign includes supporters, fired workers and current Walmart employees. Read more […]

Gov’t Workers ‘Absent’ 50% More Than Private-Sector Workers

A government worker is 38 percent more likely to be absent from work for personal reasons or illnesses than a private-sector worker, and government workers miss 50 percent more of their usual work hours as a result of such absences than do private sector workers, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Each month, the Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey collects information from 60,000 households, including information on employment status. BLS uses this data to publish Read more […]

Chicago Teachers Union: ‘This City Belongs to Black People’

The Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) is pretty much run by communists and racebaiters. This month we get yet another example of that with a CTU organizer claiming that the city “belongs” to African Americans and not white people. This sort of hate is typical of the CTU. As seen in the video above, CTU President Karen Lewis is very well known for saying that white people and anyone with a few dollars in their pockets should have no right to tell teachers what to do. The above video is from June Read more […]
