Rep. Hank Johnson on NRA: ‘They Still Cannot Get Over’ That Obama Is ‘Black’

Representative Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) said that the National Rifle Association (NRA) opposed President Barack Obama’s gun control plans because the group “still cannot get over” the fact that the president is “black.”

Following a Capitol Hill press conference on Wednesday, Rep. Johnson suggested that NRA opposition to Obama’s gun control policies was personal. then asked Johnson, “You said just a minute ago that part of the NRA’s true colors was a personal dislike of the president. Why do you think that is?”

Rep. Johnson said, “First of all, he is a black. And as a black person being the president of the United States, that is something they still cannot get over.”

Another stupid statement from a stupid person who doesn’t know what he is talking about.

It’s the agenda of the liberals/progressives/left – ridicule and go after individuals and not the institution or groups. Call someone who questions Obama’s background a “birther.” Go after people who want smaller government and lower taxes (Americans that were once considered average middle of the road) and call them “tea baggers” or radicals, extremist, or terrorists. Question this president and you’re a “racist.”

What’s fun though is to ask these individuals if they opposed Bush’s policies. As they are Dems, they’ll obviously say YES! Then call them a racist. They’ll be violently angry and denounce any thought that they might be racist – they’re just against Bush’s policies. You tell them that you are only against Obama’s policies but he is calling you a racist. Therefore, if he’s against a white man’s policies and for a black man’s, then obviously he is racist. The emotional blow up is fun to watch but be careful – some will attempt to actively fight you!

Johnson is proof positive…neanderthal man is in politics. Ever listen to this clown talk….straight from the ‘book of ebonics’.

  2. joe says:

Leave it to the blacks to play the race card…theyh need to grow ujp

    • TheSunDidIt says:

Actually, often it isn’t “blacks” playing the race card. It’s liberal lying white progressive OLD GUYS trying to smear us with it. Just don’t let it stick by fitting their lies. The COLOR of this tyrant is irrelevant. His LYING, DECIEVING and EVIL actions and statements are what we care about. He is ALL ABOUT HIMSELF AND THE LEFT NEEDS TO GET A CLUE AND A GRIP. Their “freedom of speech” will be GONE right after this piece of manure gets rid of our “right to bear arms”.

  3. TheSunDidIt says:

This piece-of-cr@p legislator needs to understand WE DO NOT GIVE A RIP WHAT “COLOR” THIS TYRANT IS. HE IS A TYRANT. We got rid of King George. This is just another.

  4. Jsnh says:

The NRA should challenge Rep. Johnson’s comment on racism. If Mr. Johnson cannot absolutely prove his statements as factual (maybe he should put his signature next to his statements), then the NRA should publicize and insist that he retract them. I am tired of the lies and accusations these politicians throw out to the public with absolutely no consequences or proof that the accusations are true.

  5. Remington 870 says:

Obama is not really black. He is 50% white, 47% arabic and the rest African. Does this describe someone who should be referred to as black? If ever proven Frank Marshal Davis is Obama’s birth father…then Obama can be catagorized black. But…Obama has presented so many lies about his life, the truth is muddled at best. Remember, anything blacks or Dems don’t like about White Americans…they use the race card. Take that race card and stuff up your arse. I am white and proud of it.

Awww, give Johnson a break – he’s still trying to keep Guam from sinking into the ocean!!! Georgia has at least three black congressmen, all of whom live in almost all black districts so you can understand how people like him get elected. He follows Cynthia McKinney in this position, so he is in good company in this looney tunes district.

  7. LawAbidingCitizen says:

Look folk’s, he is not Black or as often referred to as “African-American”, rather of “mixed-race” or indicated by an old ethnic phrase, “mulatto or one drop”..! The only person(s) in the WH that are truly African-American’s are Michelle and her mother..!! Let’s start calling him what he really is..! I would love to see this Tyrant impeached but, he would wind up just like Bill “and his Willie” Clinton, pardoned.. As for Johnson, he is Georgia’s problem and he can always be voted our.. That said, what district does he come from…lol Get my point..!
    Locked and Loaded.

    • Dingbat36 says:

Clinton was never “pardoned”. He was impeached by the House and tried by the Senate but not CONVICTED on the impeachment.

  8. puma421 says:

Johnson is a stupid racists black man that can’t get over obama is only half black. Maybe he thinks Georgia will tip over if too many people go to one side.

    • Dingbat36 says:

And the people of his district re-elected the cretin…………….but then they probably never saw the comment about Guam tipping over!! Actually they have re-elected him twice since that idiotic remark!!

  9. jimbob says:

Don’t bring RACE into it our nation as a whole is bigger than that!!!!!

  10. Oldman66 says:

Hey folks, Hank Johnson? Oh I remember him. He’s the guy that was worried that Guam would tip over if we put more troops on the Island. SO I really don’t take this clown too seriously. He is comparable to Ms. Lee.

    • larryincamden says:

But people voted him into office, he needs o be sued and forced out of office. BTW so does Lee

    • Remington 870 says:

I too remember listening to this fool speak about Guam tipping over. Hard to believe this clown is employed and not in a ‘nut house’ where he belongs. Imagine who and what his voter base looks like. Bet his voter base doesn’t have the combined intelligence of a colliflower plant.

      • John says:

I remember seeing that short video on YouTube too. I was amazed that the admiral being interviewed was able to keep a srtaight face in his answers to Johnson’s dimwit questions. LOL

    • John says:

What’s that old saying ? ” You can’t FIX stupid.”

  11. Dingbat36 says:

I frankly don’t care what anyone’s “color” is. That only seems to matter to those who ARE black. I have a list of any number of black people who would make excellent presidents. My candidate in the 2008 campaign was Herman Cain.

Why is anyone listening to anything Johnson has to say after that gaffe about his being afraid that Guam was going to tip over. I have No problem with people of color, I have a problem with STUPIDITY!!

  12. On the subject of ‘Racism’ . Have they asked Obama if he is a member of the Civilized Human Race?

  13. American Infidel says:

He was preceded by Cynthia McKinney, who was one of the most radical people in Congress. Sounds like he’s pretty much a clone of her, doesn’t it? It never occurs to these race-centric people that the opposition to Mr. Obama is not his skin color but his political beliefs. I’m convinced that the real racists in this country are black people who think like this man.

  14. colleenf says:

This guy makes my cats look like geniuses! Isn’t he the one who was afraid Guam was going to tip over? I think the combined IQ of the Congressional Black Caucus is about the temperature this morning: 34.
