Militant Muslims really don’t need a reason to protest and riot, but they are using the garage made video that insults Muhammad as the current excuse to protest in a number of countries. They are all up in arms because a former Egyptian made this video that appeared on YouTube.
Despite the evidence, the White House is still trying to link the video to the cause of the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya that resulted in the death of four Americans including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens.
In a surprise move, President Obama said in his address to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday that although he condemned the video, he stands by the freedom of speech that gave the film’s creator the right to make it. He also called for peace and that the rest of Muslim world should not take their anger out against America and Americans for the act of just a few people.
