Black Pastors Group Launches Anti-Obama Campaign Around Gay Marriage

A group of conservative black pastors are responding to President Barack Obama’s support of same-sex marriage with what they say will be a national campaign aimed at rallying black Americans to rethink their overwhelming support of the President, though the group’s leader is offering few specifics about the effort.

The Rev. Williams Owens, who is president and founder of the Coalition of African-Americans Pastors and the leader of the campaign, has highlighted opposition to same-sex marriage among African-Americans. He calls this campaign “an effort to save the family.”

“The time has come for a broad-based assault against the powers that be that want to change our culture to one of men marrying men and women marrying women,” said Owens, in an interview Tuesday after the launch event at the National Press Club. “I am ashamed that the first black president chose this road, a disgraceful road.”

“I am ashamed that the first black president chose this road, a disgraceful road.” Please do not be ashamed as he is less black than many people that appear to be white. He has no allegiance to your race other than what he needs to fake to buy votes. If he were a true black he would be doing everything possible to create jobs, improve education via vouchers, help create the rebirth of religion and the intact family in both the black and white, red, brown, and yellow community. He would close the border and reduce the visa system that takes jobs from black workers. I could go on, but I feel I am preaching to the choir.

Indeed, this has caused a Great deal of backsliding, in their climb out of the abyss were they were for so long.

    Thank you Rev. Owens

  3. sean murry says:

thank you for seeing what kind of a man we have for phoney president.

  4. Rick Baldwin says:

No big deal,if Obama was a child molester he’d still get 95% of the Black vote.

    • dixiecrystals says:

You are probably right, but we can always hope that the black will put substance over race. If they do, they will vote for Romney or just don’t vote.

    • Washington22 says:

A horrible senario, but I agree. And you made me laugh outloud.

So it wasn’t Obama’s support of partial birth abortion, his unwavering support of laws prohibiting medical intervention for babies who survived the abortion procedure, it was Obama’s support of gay marriage that raised the ire of these “religious” folks? Interesting.

Come on Black conservatives, you can do great good at putting the evil that is growing by leaps and bounds, it is so good to hear from you and happy to have you in the against what is occurring in America, today. It is necessary for all Christians to stand together.

In the end we who are fighting this evil will stand together before GOD as HE divides the good from the evil as can be found in Matthew 25: 32-46. Everybody should read these scriptures to see what will soon happen, I believe.

I just hope this pastor will get the black Christians on board to this message. I know of Christians who voted for Obama even though they knew of his unchristian views. It was all about the race pride. Race should not be a factor in a race. Character does matter. Maybe one day Allen West could be our black president. Then there could be a pride in our president. Obama’s policies are bringing this nation down, but have set the lives of blacks back a generation. He must be booted out of office, so all of us can have hope for a better future.

    • Washington22 says:

I would love to meet Allen West’s parents……….They must be wonderful people to have shown their son how to work for himself and not be a crybaby. God bless Allen West, who was given to us for a reason. Only time will tell.

Can I make a donation and where should I send my money?

  9. jong says:

Next of course will come the Hispanics because in reality they are just as conservative as the Blacks. If just a very few percentage points of Blacks either vote for Romney or do not vote at all Obama will be cooked.

  10. Remington 870 says:

The majority of blacks will still vote Obama. The ‘skin game’ takes priority over gay marriage. Don’t forget, Obama has some hack reseacher who discovered Obama has ‘slave roots’ in America. This same researcher will discover Romney’s relatives owned Obama’s slave ancestor. How much crap are we to endure from this fake and his commies in the White House?

    • nancymiller says:

What is even more sad is the remark that Rev CL Bryant made. He thinks that the welfare state that the Democrats have put the blacks in is the new slavery. With over 40% of blacks in most areas not working he may be right. They have no future.

      • Washington22 says:

And who’s fault would that be? Since the MLK days, blacks have had more advantages than whites…………..housing, money, health care, education, front of the line in hiring…………………..but still they whine, still they want more. The government hasn’t done them any favors. Time we cut the cord and let them fend for themselves, like the rest of us.

  11. Disgusted says:

Thanks to the people who want a moral society instead of one of perversion.

  12. mimi says:

Obama is not the first BLACK PRESIDENT HE IS THE FIRST MIXED PRESIDENT, AND HE PLAYS THE RACE CARD ALL THE TIME ,WHITE PEOPLE SHOULD BE UP SET ABOUT THIS ,SO MANY WHITES VOTED FOR THE BUMMER, I SURE HOPE THEY HAVE WOKEN UP!!!!!!!!!!!! HE NEVER TALKS ABOUT HIS WHITE SIDE!!!!!!!!!!!! who’s sorry now!!!!!!!!! WHO’S SORRY NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT ME I DIDN’T VOTE FOR A AMERICAN HATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Aalee says:

Too bad they fell for the half breed the first time. There are a few good black men in government, but they fell for the first one that came along.

  14. Reverend, you’re quite correct in your assesment of the man in the WH. You may also encourage your congregations to consider the democrat party welfare plantation as well. With it, they have ruined hundreds of thousands of black families by their requirements of ‘single parent’ benifits, those children growing up without fathers, leading to today’s social crisis in the black community.
